Ingredients

  • 1 package Bold Tastes of Tokyo Dan Dan noodles
  • 1/2 tsp cooking oil
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup sliced cabbage
  • 1/4 cup spinach
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tbsp corn

Directions

Fill a pot with water and bring it to a boil. Carefully add the egg and cook for 7 minutes for a soft boil or 11 minutes for a hard boil, then remove and place egg in ice bath. Once cooled, peel the shell and cut in half.

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the oil and sliced garlic. Cover with a paper towel and microwave for 30 to 45 seconds until the garlic turns golden brown.

Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a pot. Add the noodles and cook for 3 minutes. Add the sliced cabbage and spinach to the pot, then cook for 2 more minutes until the vegetables are tender.

Scoop about 1/2 cup of the hot noodle cooking water into a bowl and mix it with the Bold Tastes of Tokyo Dan Dan dry seasoning and liquid packet until combined.

Transfer the noodles and contents into the bowl along with the remaining cooking water, then top with corn, egg and fried garlic before serving.
