Nissin Foods USA Corporate Responsibility Overview

Nissin Foods USA is a leading provider of instant noodles in the United States. Our much-loved products include Top Ramen, Cup Noodles, Bowl Noodles and Chow Mein. Nissin was founded in 1948 by Momofuku Ando, who invented instant ramen in response to the lack of food available after World War II. Today, Nissin Foods USA continues to fulfill Mr. Ando's dream of satiating the masses with delicious, convenient, and high-quality noodles, while also addressing today's sustainability imperative and environmental concerns.

Human Rights Practices

Like you, Nissin Foods USA does not condone inhumane working conditions and we do not tolerate human trafficking or slavery in any form. Since 2012, we have had robust policies in place to ensure that all our suppliers comply with laws regarding slavery and human trafficking in all countries in which they are conducting business. Additionally, since we joined the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil in 2013, we only purchase palm oil from fellow RSPO members. This means all our palm oil suppliers are RSPO-certified, must adhere to principles and policies ranging from deforestation to ethical treatment of workers, and must comply with unannounced factory inspections, which we conduct through an independent third-party. Nissin Foods USA is committed to universal human rights and this is reflected in our everyday business practices and our commitment to the RSPO.

We Use 100% Sustainable Palm Oil

Nissin Foods USA has fulfilled its commitment to using 100% sustainable palm oil on all our products by the end of 2016 and regularly shares our progress and RSPO activities with senior executives across all departments: Manufacturing, Purchasing, Marketing, R&D, General Affairs and Sales. This consistent communication increases and prioritizes cross-functional efficiencies in order to help us achieve this important goal. Additionally, our palm oil position and goals will be shared on our website.
