Sales Administrative Assistant

Location: Gardena, CA

Summary: Assist Sales Vice President with day-to-day administrative activities. Act as liaison between Vice President and sales staff. Assist with broker requests and/or forward to appropriate departments.

Essential Functions- Job Duties:
The following duties are considered essential to the job. Qualified individuals must have the ability – with or without reasonable accommodation – to perform the following duties but not limited to:

  • Process Travel Authorization and Approvals, Travel Expenses, Weekly Schedules, Vacation Requests, and Sick Days.
  • Maintain brokers list, territory alignment, and maps. Compile and maintain sales hand book, broker manuals, and product and pricing information.
  • Keep track of trade shows, publication updates/invoices, library of wholesaler books.
  • Coordinate meetings, process sales related expenses.
  • Monitor daily sales, process sample requests, trade shows requests, and various broker requests.
  • Maintain information on sales website, and sales reports.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Education and/or Experience:
Experience in the food manufacturing industry or a combination of retail, wholesale, and broker environments preferred. Knowledge of sales systems a plus. Familiarity with accounting practices.

Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the Internet; and Excel, Word and PowerPoint software.

Food Regulatory Manager

Location: Gardena, CA

Summary: Review company products, formulations, and packaging against U.S. food regulations and provide support and advice to new product development and improving the current products and packaging. Try to maximize the commercial benefits while minimizing the regal risks.

  • Ensures that Nissin Foods is fully in compliance with all governing regulations over the products and is responsible to review and approve product specifications in terms of governing regulations.

  • Keeps up to date with food regulatory legislation to ensure that any changes that will have impact on Nissin products are effectively communicated.

  • Assesses company products, formulations, packaging and production activities for compliance to U.S. food regulations.

  • Develops and manages all U.S. food regulatory information related to ingredients, formulations, religious compliance, organic compliance and label compliance to government regulations and corporate policies and procedures.

  • Participates in the implementation of policies and guidelines in the area of food and regulatory affairs, ensuring that they are consistent with legal and company’s requirements.

  • Plans and controls regulatory budget

  • Contacts within national legislative agencies to represent company’s point of view.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Food Science. Five to eight years related experience in the food manufacturing industry and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to establish connections with country government and industry groups. Ability to implement processes and policies.

Electricians

Location: Gardena, CA (1) and Lancaster, PA (1)

SUMMARY: The maintenance Mechanic/Electrician is responsible for modifying, repairing, maintaining and providing support of the production machinery and/or equipment, The Mechanic/Electrician shall have a minimum of two (2) or more years of experience in manufacturing machinery and/or equipment with strong electrical knowledge in order to establish consistent efficiency throughout the production plant and be able to effectively communicate areas of concern within scope of responsibilities. Ensure that all safety and sanitation guidelines and GMP's are followed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - JOB DUTIES: THE FOLLOWING DUTIES ARE CONSIDERED ESSENTIAL TO THE JOB. QUALIFIED INDIVIDUALS MUST HAVE THE ABILITY - WITH OR WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS TO PERFORM THE FOLLOWING DUTIES.

GENERAL DUTIES:
  • Electrical/Mechanical troubleshooting and repair of all production machinery/equipment.
  • Ensures that preventative maintenance of machinery/equipment has been performed.
  • Performs hourly/daily visual inspection of the machinery/equipment for any malfunctions or abnormalities in order to make certain that total downtime is kept to a minimal.
  • Verifies that machinery/equipment is equipped with appropriate safety covers/guards and all safety devices are operating properly.
  • Provides support and assistance to other mechanic/electricians as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by dept supervisors.
SECONDARY DUTIES:
  • Responsible for completing work reports at the completion of each assignment.
  • Provides specific training (buddy system) to regular full time and temporary personnel with regards to the mechanical/electrical operations of the processing and packaging machinery/equipment, including efficiently maintaining the production process in accordance to company specifications.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None, but is responsible for assisting department supervisors with training.
